Job Description
Howard Medical, a division of Howard Industries located in Ellisville, Mississippi, is seeking to hire an Engineering Technician with primary responsibility for support of various daily engineering office and laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
Job duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assist mechanical and electrical engineering staff with assembly and testing projects
• Inspection, verification, and lifecycle maintenance activities associated with new or changed parts
• Sales order configuration checking, assisting with production floor questions
• Produce or update product manufacturing work and test instructions, and shop drawings
• Creation of custom integration and accessory options instructions and BOMs
• Processing of Engineering Change Orders and implementation of product changes
• Operation, scheduling, supplies & routine maintenance of in-house 3D printer(s)
• Assist with engineering lab and test areas organization and cleanliness
Skills/Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree or certificate in engineering, drafting, or computers; or business management with 2 or more years work experience; or equivalent combined experience.
• Computer literate in Windows environment, using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Good communication skills with an ability to work well with a diversity of personalities
• Capable with manual measurement tools and hand held or bench machinery
• Organized & methodical, with close attention to detail
• Able to work independently, follow instruction, and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Desired Experience and Skills:
• SolidWorks or other CAD experience is a plus
• Hands on experience working with mechanical, electrical assemblies and computers is a plus
General:
• Position: Hourly, permanent, full-time
• Location: Ellisville, MS
• Salary: $34-39K per year with potential for overtime, depending on experience
